THE TOP 5: MOVIES OF 2010 (SO FAR)

Since I've not done so much on the blog, I've come up with a brand-new segment for it.

Introducing... THE TOP 5, where I will frequently post "Top 5" lists, whether it's music, movies, places and more.

To mark the very first Top 5, here is THE TOP 5: MOVIES OF 2010 (SO FAR).

I know that we're only one-and-a-half months away from the end of 2010, and there are plenty of flicks coming up, but I had to make this list so that I can share my recommendations if others are planning to get a movie on DVD, perhaps. So, here we go...

5. Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief: I may get a little flak for this, but I think, for an action/fantasy film, it is really well-made. As a plus, it was one of the few movies that got me into reading, for I got the book AFTER watching the film.

4. The Other Guys: It may be a typical buddy-cop comedy film to others, but as a first-timer in this genre, I relatively enjoyed it. Mark Wahlberg and Will Farrell did an excellent job providing the laughs in the film.

3. How to Train Your Dragon: Probably everyone whom I know knows that I'm a sucker for animated flicks. Compound it with the fact that I'm a little partial when it comes to a good Dreamworks 3D film.

2. Dinner for Schmucks: Could've been #1 on the list if it were not for the actual #1 on the list. A rare slapstick comedy film with heart. The star power in the film gives it a little boost as well.

1. Toy Story 3: I may be partial for a Dreamworks 3D film, but Pixar's Toy Story 3 takes the #1 spot as it was perfect finish to the popular franchise.

So there you go - my first TOP 5. I will try to post more in the future. What about you guys? What are YOUR "TOP 5"s? Plus, are there any flicks that you're looking forward to in the final weeks of 2010?
