MUSIC RECOMMENDATION: Hebe 田馥甄 - "LOVE!"

In early August the following YouTube clip was released. The clip featured a snippet of a song, with an acoustic sound and a gentle, soothing singing voice. It garnered more than 100, 000 views on the website.

Along with the above clip was a animation featuring the same audio song snippet.

The clips sparked speculation over who is the owner of the mysterious singing voice. Netizens finally concluded that the singing voice probably belongs to Hebe Tien, one-third of the popular Taiwanese girl group S.H.E, who was slated to release a solo album around the same time. However, Hebe does not reveal anything about the "mysterious" singing girl, sparking more speculation amongst listeners.

A week after the first clip was uploaded, a brand-new clip was uploaded on the HIMservice YouTube page, revealing the mysterious singing girl, who is indeed Hebe. The song featured was a snippet of the song "LOVE!", the first single off Hebe's debut solo album, To Hebe, set to be released on Friday, 3rd September, 2010.

I'm in "LOVE!" with the song. It showcases another side of Hebe, totally different from the music she made in S.H.E. The mood and feel of the song is also reminiscent of Faye Wong, Hebe's idol. It's probable that Hebe is moving toward that direction, and I'm loving it, and you should too!
